How many calories is that?

This morning Randy and I got up to do P90X cardio. 4am is our wake up call. We geared up and worked out. Half way through our workout a little man decided to wake up. After feeding him and trying to get him back down, he decided he was up for the day. I think he heard dad in the livingroom working out.

When we got to the living room dad was doing floor exercises. Z decided he wanted to join in too:

I was trying to get him on the mat, but he decided he wanted to just place his area. Then off to Banana-superman for Dad and I. Midway Z decided the best place to be was sitting on dads tummy. Overall it was a good workout.

Now to the calories part. Have you ever sat down and counted the calories you intake everyday? We have started to thanks to a website called: Livestrong.com using the tool Myplate. It amazed me that we consume so much without ever thinking how much is going into our body. Balance that out with the lack of, before, exercise.

After logging today's breakfast which consisted of a banana, 1/2 cup of oatmeal, and 8oz of OJ. I consumed 381 out of the 1300 calories I'm allowed.

Since my cooking dinner skills seem to be lacking this week I brought two sandwiches and will grab a fruit bowl from downstairs. After adding up my calories, holy calories, I decided to drop a sandwich. I was letting my breakfast deprived stomach pack my lunch this morning. I'm now up to 865 calroies consumed out of the 1300.

What's for Dinner? I don't know. We need to take our little bums grocery shopping and get some fruit for the house. I'm thinking picking up a rotisserie chicken, salad and some corn on the cob.

Off to another day at work.

Darn you last pounds.

That is it. I'm going to buckle down, count my calories and loose this last 7 lbs that I need to loose. When I was pregnant with Z I gained a whopping 36lbs. Soon after giving birth I had managed to loose 44lbs. It was amazing knowing that I lost the weight and more. Now I'm stuck and in a rut. I need to get rid of these few pounds.

I have started on Livestrong.com My plate to count my calories. They gave me a generous 1300 calories a day. I'm also working on a daily workout routine with my Hubby. We bought the game Zumba. I love it! It so much fun and makes me want to work out. I just need the energy at the end of the day or the mind set to wake up at 4:30am!

The story of the last Vera

My grandma in 1942. El Paso Texas.

My grandmother April 03, 2011. She turns 88 this year.

A few weeks ago my grandmother burried her last sibling. She is now the sole member of her family. She is also the rock of our family. The sad reality of her leaving us to join her siblings is something I try to think little of. I swear she is going to live pass 100 with the way she takes care of herself. I mean, she is 88 and chasing Z around the house with no problem. They are the cutest little couple together. I know one day will ber her time. I'm just not prepared for it to be anytime soon. Give us till 100 g-ma!

Spring is here!!

Spring is here and we need to be outside. Z has this urge to be out and about lately. He will go to the door and bang on it. Or he will drag you to the door and say "out". Now with the time change and this beautiful weather we have decided to take our ventures outside.

During a trip to our favorite place, Target, we saw this water table. It was perfect for this weather. I'm sure it will be used throughout the summer time.

Then we took some of the balls we have from the party and tossed them into the toddler pool that was at Target for a whopping $5.00.

Z went back and forth from one to the other playing. I took several more pictures and should upload them soon. Hopefulle.
